Potatoes

Boiled, mashed, steamed, baked, chipped or roasted – we couldn’t imagine a meal without potatoes. As well as being an incredibly versatile and tasty ingredient, they are naturally fat-free, and packed with dietary fibre and nutrients. They contain vitamins B and C, and potassium – making them quite the nutritional powerhouse.

All Shapes and Sizes

There are thousands of potato varieties around the world. In Ireland, we favour only a small  selection of what’s available. Our season starts in May each year with first early potatoes, before moving onto second early crops in June/July and finally onto our salad and maincrop varieties from August onwards.
