Country Crest Farm Shop, Retail Assistant

The Role

We have an opening for a Farm Shop Assistant at our Country Crest Farm Shop. The Shop is a showcase for fresh produce from our farm, local growers and producers on the Island of Ireland. Customers can choose from great quality ingredients including; craft meats, in-season fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as fresh breads and cakes, and Irish artisan foods.

We are looking for someone who has a great love of food and people.

Responsibilities:

• • Assist with day-to-day retail sales.

• • Operate point-of-sale scanning equipment and associated till operations.

• • Balance and reconcile till cash receipts on a daily basis as required.

• • Presentation and display of all stock, fresh fruit and vegetables.

• • Complete and maintain stock records to ensure proper rotation of stock and re-order as required.

• • Follow all key holding and security operations in line with shop procedures.

• • Maintain the cleaning procedures to “best practice standards” as required by the Shop Manager and Environmental Health Officer.

Any other reasonable task or duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.

Requirements:

• • Previous experience of retail operations is preferable.

• • An outgoing and friendly personality.

• • Ability to work as part of a flexible team.

• • Experience of using electronic till systems.

• • English speaking.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• • 8 hour shift.

• • Day shift.

• • Weekend availability. (preferable).
